Requirements Traceability Specialist — Quality Assurance and Assurance Reporting for NATO with security clearance
Keep requirements traceable from the original need to the delivered capability, and write the independent assurance reports that programme directors act on.
Relocation to the United States — Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa.
A multinational defence organisation delivers capability through a common-funded process, and that process is only as good as its traceability. This role provides the quality analysis behind it and keeps the requirements repository honest.
What you would be doing
- Providing quality analysis and expertise across the capability development processes and their outputs.
- Managing the corrective and preventative actions that come out of process assurance and quality reviews.
- Assuring data quality, including the requirements repository and the programme management information.
- Developing and maintaining the traceability criteria and the traceability process itself.
- Producing scheduled and ad-hoc independent quality assurance reports for programme directors and integrated project teams.
- Contributing to the directives and standard operating procedures on quality and traceability.
- Supporting requirements engineering across every lifecycle stage so integrity survives the handovers.
- Supporting change and configuration management of requirements.
- Taking part in workshops, seminars and conferences, and turning lessons into learning.
What you would bring
- A university degree in engineering, management, information systems, finance, business or public administration, or a related field.
- Five of the last ten years in requirements engineering or requirements management, covering elicitation, capture and development.
- Experience evaluating traceability across every line of development, not only the materiel one.
- Hands-on requirements authoring, or facilitation of requirements development sessions.
- Recent experience managing requirements under formal configuration and change control.
- Recent experience supporting processes certified to a recognised quality standard.
- Experience with a formal requirements management tool such as IBM Rational DOORS Next.
- Fluent professional English.
This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
