Defence Logistics Training Instructor (LOGFAS Toolset) for NATO with security clearance
Teach the logistics toolset that moves an alliance — LOGFAS courses to serving staff officers, from a training centre outside Lisbon.
Somebody has to teach the people who plan how an alliance actually moves. This role does exactly that: delivering the LOGFAS course programme — the logistics planning and movement toolset — to serving officers and civilian staff at a training centre in Oeiras, just outside Lisbon.
It suits someone who knows the toolset from having used it in earnest, and who enjoys the part where a room of experienced practitioners starts asking hard questions. Occasional travel comes with it.
What you would be doing
- Deliver LOGFAS training to adult learners — practitioners, not beginners.
- Teach across the course range: fundamentals and data operation, movement execution and coordination, operational movement planning, sustainment planning and distribution, the staff officer course, and advanced strategic deployment and movement planning.
- Keep course material and delivery current with the toolset and with planning doctrine.
- Travel for temporary duty when a course calls for it.
What we are looking for
- Experience delivering training to adult learners, and a demonstrable ability to get a technical subject across.
- Hands-on experience with the LOGFAS applications.
- A qualification in one or more of the LOGFAS courses listed above.
- Knowledge of the operations planning process used in this environment.
The role is full time on site in Oeiras, Portugal, from the end of September to the end of December 2026, with the possibility of travel.
