Senior Staff Officer (IT Lifecycle Management) with security clearance

As a Senior Staff Officer for IS Support & Lifecycle Management within the multinational 1(German/Netherlands) Corps, you will hold a strategic role in governing the entire lifecycle of the command's information systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the technological currency, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability of all IT systems across 1GNC's information domains. This senior position requires a blend of technical foresight, strategic planning, and stakeholder management to align technology roadmaps with operational needs and fiscal constraints within a high-security NATO environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct end-to-end Lifecycle Management for all IT systems within 1GNC's Information Domains, encompassing planning, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, optimization, and retirement.
Monitor system obsolescence and develop comprehensive strategies for upgrades and replacements in coordination with functional managers and the G8 branch.
Support and sustain the current CIS (Communications and Information Systems) infrastructure for 1GNC Peacetime Locations (PTL), staff branches, subordinate units, and external national and international partners.
Utilize ITSM (IT Service Management) principles and tools to ensure efficient support processes.
Ensure all lifecycle activities comply with relevant ITIL frameworks, security protocols, and architectural standards.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in IT-lifecycle management
Proven workingexperience in a multi-national environment
Certificate in ITIL Foundation.
Experience with and courses completed for ITSM Tool Training (for example Service Now).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Advanced English skills
Nice to have:
Knowledge of strategic and tactical communications networls (esp. NLD, DEU and NATO) is preferred.
Working experience in military divisional or corps environment is preferred.
Experience in budget management is preferred.
NATO Networking Infrastructure (ETOC Course ID: CCC-DC-32237) is preferred.
NATO C4ISR Technology Orientation (ETOC Course ID: CCC-SM-22206) is preferred.
MS SharePoint User Training (ETOC Course ID: CCC-ET-32336) is preferred.
