The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) seeks a seasoned BI Business Analyst / Product Owner to strengthen its Analytics and Core Business Applications Branch. This hybrid role is central to the delivery of data-driven insights across the NATO Enterprise, with a primary focus on the Asset Management functional area.

You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, combining hands-on business analysis (≈65%) with product ownership duties (≈35%). Your mission will be to clarify evolving requirements, translate them into precise specifications, and coordinate delivery within an Agile (sprint-based) framework to support key BI initiatives for NATO's strategic commands.

Responsibilities:

• Requirements & Analysis: Act as the primary liaison to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Asset Management data and reporting. Translate these into detailed functional specs, including data definitions, source-to-target mappings, and validation rules.

• Stakeholder & Delivery Coordination: Perform Product Owner activities, including backlog prioritization, JIRA management, initiative coordination, and clear communication of status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.

• Technical Collaboration & Validation: Work closely with data engineers and BI developers to ensure solutions meet business intent. Support testing cycles, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and verify reporting outputs.

• Agile Sprint Execution: Operate within a defined 5-day sprint model. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure deliverables meet agreed acceptance criteria, quality standards, and KPIs for each sprint.

• Facilitation & Governance: Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions to refine requirements and secure formal sign-offs. Ensure work complies with NATO data standards and project governance.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 years+ Proven experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise IT, data and BI analytics environments.

• 3+ years of experience supporting end-to-end delivery of data or reporting initiatives, from requirements through validation and user acceptance testing.

• Demonstrated experience performing Product Owner–like activities, such as backlog management, coordination of work, and status communication.

• Extensive knowledge of the business processes in the area of Asset Management.

• Experience working with enterprise source systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, or similar ERP, Asset Management, Service Management systems) is required.

• Strong experience working closely with technical delivery teams (data engineers, ETL developers, BI developers).

• Working knowledge of JIRA (basic).

• Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Full professional proficiency in English.
