System Administrator (IDAM) for NATO with security clearance

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled System Administrator to join our client's Identity and Access Management (IDAM) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and 2nd-level support of the core Active Directory environment and related Microsoft ecosystem. You will ensure the reliability, security, and efficient operation of identity services while automating reporting and improving operational procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work within a critical NATO service environment, supporting essential platform services and collaborating with enterprise operations teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide 2nd-level support for Active Directory, including incident management, problem resolution, and routine administration.
Develop automated reports on Active Directory resource utilization and capacity using PowerShell and reporting tools.
Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and configuration standards across the enterprise.
Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system administration tasks.
Liaise with the Centralized Service Desk and represent the team in the Enterprise Service Operations Centre (ESOC) for incident, problem, and change management processes.
Manage Active Directory objects (users, groups) and support federation services.
Proactively identify operational issues and contribute to their resolution.
Provide clear and timely information to specialists, users, and management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Knowledge of the entire Microsoft Operating system product line administration, with focus on Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 (Level 2 support) and Windows 10 client devices.
Experience in automation via PowerShell.
Experience with Active Directory user/group management and GPOs, federation.
Knowledge of Virtualization and Platform services.
Experience in reporting (E.g. PowerPoint, Excel).
Desirable:
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reporting capabilities
• Experience with PowerBI creation of reports/dashboards
• Experience with Azure Active Directory
• Experience with Azure AD Connect.
