Project Overview:
We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen our client’s application security team. This role requires hands-on experience in application security, focusing on practical implementation rather than just theoretical knowledge.
The project involves working with Java, JavaScript, .NET, and Python, along with API security integrations. The ideal candidate should also have strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, as containerization plays a key role in the infrastructure. The team operates remotely across multiple time zones, so the ability to work independently is crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance the security posture of enterprise applications through DevSecOps best practices.
- Develop and implement security strategies for applications.
- Perform API security integration and ensure secure data transmission.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to manage secure containerized environments.
- Provide cross-functional support, advising teams on security best practices.
- Work in an international environment, collaborating across different time zones.
- Automate security controls and integrate security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- 7+ years of overall professional experience
- 2+ years of background as a developer (Java, .NET, or Python)
- Strong DevOps background: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, Azure DevOps
- Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Deep experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitLab
- Experience and knowledge in vulnerability management and security automation (SAST, SCA, DAST, container vulnerability scanning)
- Good knowledge of SDLC best practices and application security principles (OWASP Top 10)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Experience in operating system security, including Active Directory, Windows networking, Group Policies, DNS, PKI, and certificates.
- Working knowledge of Linux and SQL Server (strong plus)
- Previous experience as a tech lead or mentor
- Ability to work independently in an international team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to advise on security best practices.
