Corporate Controller Officer

Position Summary:
The Corporate Controller Officer, working under the direction of the Global Controller, plays a crucial role in financial oversight and accounting operations. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, managing budget reports, and ensuring robust internal control systems. The role is pivotal in enhancing financial accuracy and integrity, supporting company compliance, and facilitating strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end closing process including the preparation and consolidation of financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting; proficiency in US GAAP is preferred.
- Oversee corporate accounting activities.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and coordinate accounting operations with foreign and domestic subsidiaries.
- Develop and enforce internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and best practices.
- Participate in the implementation of internal audit functions to ensure adherence to accounting policies and controls.
- Provide support during external audits.
- Assist in budget development and evaluate budget reports; analyze and report on cost variances.
- Manage and forecast global cash flow.
- Enhance the functionality of accounting IT systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
- Engage in ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or auditing, with exposure to international accounting and financial consolidation.
- Familiarity with US GAAP/IFRS; certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with modern accounting software.
- Business-level English with proficiency in accounting terminology.
- High organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability in handling complex datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen understanding of data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effective collaboration in a cross-functional team.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Experience in Big 4 or international advisory/shared service centers is beneficial.
- Knowledge of One Stream software is an advantage.
- Proven ability to work in a results-oriented, accountable environment with a focus on quality and timeliness.
