This is the senior technician seat inside an on-site service team in The Hague. You would hold the ICT end systems, the servers behind them and the network paths between them - and take the immediate response when a ticket cannot wait.

What you would be doing

• Installing, configuring and retiring systems and software, proving each installation works and keeping the record of what is where
• Monitoring operational systems for resource use and failures, tuning them, and rolling new system software versions through test with a fall-back ready
• Maintaining and configuring network components, and diagnosing faults with the right methodology and the right tools
• Providing second-line resolution against agreed response targets, on a rota that covers hours outside the office day
• Supporting engineering change to the service - design, test and on-site work - alongside the operational load

What you would bring

• A strong track record maintaining ICT end systems in a large, security-conscious organisation
• Server and storage work: hosting platforms, disk and controller configuration, redundancy
• Network fault-finding (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, firewall, DNS) and remote server administration
• Log analysis and packet capture as a habit, not a last resort; scripting in Python, shell or similar
• ITIL training, professional English, and the temperament for on-call work
