Senior Network Engineer — BGP, MPLS and SD-WAN (CCNP) for NATO with security clearance
Level three on a multi-domain enterprise network — lead the high-severity incidents, fix the recurring ones properly, and build the routing for live exercises. Bydgoszcz.
This is a senior network engineering post in a complex, multi-domain environment where the services on top are mission-critical and the change window is never generous. It is more than incident work: the role contributes to how the service evolves, implements change with the risk understood, and owns the standard operating procedures other engineers follow.
A distinctive part of the job is exercises — designing, configuring and maintaining the routing infrastructure for exercise scenarios and operations, which is where the theory meets a deadline.
What you would be doing
- Provide advanced level three support across complex enterprise network environments.
- Lead the technical resolution of high-impact, high-severity incidents.
- Analyse recurring issues in depth and put sustainable corrective actions in place.
- Contribute to the design, planning and implementation of network enhancements and new projects.
- Ensure technical correctness and minimal service impact during changes and deployments, in line with the change process.
- Perform remote routine maintenance on routing and switching elements across sites.
- Coordinate centralisation, standardisation and best practice for routing and switching.
- Create and maintain the standard operating procedures.
- Design, configure and maintain routing infrastructure for exercise scenarios and operations.
- Coordinate on-site surveys, validation and acceptance testing into the routing infrastructure.
- Keep the technical documentation accurate and share what you learn with the team.
What you would bring
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline with two years of related experience — or, exceptionally, at least eight years of extensive and progressive expertise in the duties of the post.
- At least eight years in complex network engineering roles.
- Design, implementation and support of scalable enterprise networks using BGP, MPLS, IPv6, OSPF, IS-IS, IP multicast and SD-WAN.
- An active CCNP certification (Enterprise or Service Provider) — this one is required, not preferred.
- Deep BGP knowledge: route reflectors, confederations, communities, path manipulation and filtering.
