Business Management and Control Analyst for NATO with security clearance
Hold the budget, the workforce plan and the internal controls together for a NATO organisation in Mons.
A NATO organisation in Mons is looking for a business management and control analyst — the person who keeps the money, the people plan and the project controls honest. It spans budget work, resourcing, project support and internal controls, so it suits someone who likes seeing the whole picture rather than one slice of it.
What you would be doing
- Budget management — contributing to the planning cycle, collecting and preparing budget information, monitoring allocations and execution, interpreting variances and overruns, and keeping financial records to a standard that survives an audit.
- Collating financial data and reports for analysis, and helping identify and calculate process, service, project and component costs.
- Resourcing — supporting managers on resourcing and recruitment, coordinating workforce planning, maintaining a skills and capability inventory, and doing the gap analysis that shows where the shortfalls are against the strategy.
- Portfolio, programme and project support — supporting project boards, assurance teams and quality reviews, running the control tools for planning, scheduling and tracking, setting up project files and compiling reports.
- Giving a cross-programme view on risk, change, quality, finance or configuration management.
- Internal controls — analysing audit trails, testing and reviewing existing controls, applying technology-based solutions to control processes, and recommending improvements.
What they are looking for
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with three years of related experience, or a secondary qualification with five.
- Experience in portfolio and project management, and in workforce management.
- ServiceNow.
- Financial management in a customer-funded environment, including preparing and producing budget submissions and running budget execution.
- Administrative and coordination work, ideally across financial management, HR or project management.
- Preparing, conducting and reporting with statistical sampling methods.
- Enterprise resource planning systems, and the ability to interpret financial data and manage an allocated budget.
Practical detail
- Mons, Belgium — hybrid, 80% on site. Normal office environment.
- 28 September to 31 December 2026, 500 hours in total.
- You must hold a valid clearance and be a citizen of a NATO member country with the right to work in Belgium.
If you are the person who can explain a variance and then fix the process that caused it, this one is worth a conversation.
