Assurance Engineer for NATO with security clearance
Own verification and validation on large, complex defence programmes in The Hague: you write the master test plan, you direct execution, you sign off what independent means.
Have you ever been the independent verifier on a programme that could not be allowed to fail?
This is assurance at the sharp end. You plan and run formal reviews and assessments across complex, cross-functional and supply chain domains, and you do it as the independent voice rather than as part of the delivery team. Based in The Hague, with flexibility to work from home when it is needed.
What you will be doing
- Planning, organising and conducting formal reviews and assessments across complex and cross-functional domains
- Identifying non-compliance with organisational standards and getting to the root cause
- Producing the test documentation that matters: event test plans, test cases, requirements traceability matrices, test reports
- Providing assurance over test artefacts, the traceability matrix above all
- Managing the design, planning and execution of verification and validation events, and reporting on them
- Acting as independent verifier on projects delivered by external contractors
- Supporting the operational community through operational acceptance
What you will need
- Five years or more, recent, owning verification and validation planning and execution on large complex projects. Be ready to describe two programmes where you authored or led the master or event test plan and directed execution, not simply contributed test cases under someone else's plan
- Three years or more, recent, of functional, non-functional and interoperability testing. Expect to walk through a campaign you designed, how pass and fail criteria were set, and what you found
- Experience managing external stakeholders on large projects, including a real escalation you resolved
- The ability to read hardware and software architectures from design documentation and spot the testable risk
- Team leadership experience: tell us the team size, your actual role, and a resourcing or performance decision you made
- Testing in virtualised and cloud environments, and the specific platforms you used
- Test, defect and requirements management tooling, and how you used it for traceability on a real project
- An advanced testing certification, NATO or military domain experience, and interoperability testing are all welcome
Why this one is worth a look
Independence is written into the role rather than negotiated case by case. If you have spent years being overruled on quality, this is the other side of that argument.
