We are seeking a skilled Engineer (CIS Security) to join our client's team and play a critical role in strengthening their infrastructure security posture. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure security solutions—from project implementation and deployment to post-deployment stability and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for project implementation, and delivery of infrastructure security solutions

• Ensure the stability and performance of deployed systems, services and applications post-implementation, through continuous monitoring and addressing any emerging issues in a timely manner.

• Apply approved security configurations (hardening settings), and continuously maintain the security posture of the infrastructure elements

• Contribute to remediation of CIS security findings for infrastructure elements

• Plan, deploy, and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products;

• Perform other duties as may be required

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications.

• Knowledge of and proven experience with linux OS, infrastructure as code and automation tools

• Knowledge of security technologies and solutions specific to hybrid-cloud, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On-Premise DMZ capabilities

• Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence.

• Practical hands-on experience with systems administration.

• Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways

• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully
