IT Support Specialist

The position is for an onsite IT consultant who handles escalated technical issues that the Service Desk cannot resolve remotely. The role is critical for maintaining seamless IT operations and ensuring high user satisfaction through hands-on troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Responsibilities:
Onsite Troubleshooting: Resolve complex hardware (PCs, printers, CCTV, telephony) and software issues that require physical presence.
Installation & Configuration: Set up and maintain systems, peripherals, and software applications.
User Support: Assist with account access, permissions, and performance issues.
Collaboration: Work with the Service Desk and other IT teams to address recurring problems.
Documentation: Log issues, solutions, and requests in the ticketing system.
Deployment: Help roll out new hardware/software.
Asset Management: Track inventory and maintain equipment.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging technologies and suggest improvements.
Requirements:
Proven experience in end-user support, especially onsite.
Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting/repair (PCs, printers, networks).
Strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Certifications: ITIL or similar certifications are a plus.
Adaptability: Must thrive in a startup environment (implies flexibility and agility).
