Business System Analyst (Back-office team) - Relocation to Cyprus
Ready to lead an innovative anti-fraud project in the Forex industry?
Our client is currently developing an anti-fraud platform to enhance security in trading and payment operations for top Forex companies. This comprehensive solution is being built from the ground up and will feature a rule management engine, integration with various data providers, clone detection tools, and risk-scoring models. Additionally, there are plans to develop a unified back-office system for rule configuration, transaction monitoring, and risk mitigation management.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and translate their needs into detailed requirements for technical solutions.
Analyze existing business processes and systems to pinpoint areas for improvement and optimization.
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather requirements and elicit business needs.
Document business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications clearly and concisely.
Develop and maintain business process models, flowcharts, and diagrams to illustrate system interactions and data flows.
Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with business requirements and delivered on time and within budget.
Actively participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
Proactively identify risks and issues, developing ready strategies to mitigate them promptly.
Qualifications:
Experience in describing APIs and processes (e.g. sequence diagrams, JSON).
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong grasp of business processes and systems.
Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis.
Hands-on experience with modeling notations (UML, BPMN) and flowcharting to translate business requirements into system specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for analyzing complex issues and proposing effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is a plus.
Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
Hands-on data modeling to accelerate collaboration with Data/BI. Experience with
Databricks and analytical databases (e.g., ClickHouse) will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker) and backlog systems(Jira/Confluence).
