Principal Assistant (Project Support) for NATO with security clearance

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Principal Assistant (Project Support) to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will provide crucial support in information management, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and business administration to ensure the successful delivery of projects within the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Project Support & Coordination: Provides comprehensive support to projects and control boards. Acts as Project Manager for smaller initiatives, handling planning, execution, and closure, and coordinates resource allocation and vendor contracts.
Proposal & Document Management: Leads the internal coordination and preparation of price proposals, cost estimates (TBCE), and Statements of Work (SOW) in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts.
Information & Process Governance: Identifies information risks, monitors controls, and supports the implementation of information management policies. Maintains project documentation, portals, and office procedures.
Stakeholder & Administration Support: Implements stakeholder engagement plans, manages issue resolution, and collects feedback. Provides administrative support for meetings, software guidance, and cross-functional liaison.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Higher vocational Training in a relevant discipline with 5 years post related experience. Or, a secondary educational qualification with 3 years post related experience;
Sound knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft office automation package;
Thorough knowledge of computer-based tools for project planning/control and resource management (like MS Project or Service Now);
Excellent command of spoken and written English, with a proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
Experience in roles requiring to take initiative and a flexible approach allowing the incumbent to respond reliably and competently to changing requirements in a demanding environment;
Experience in roles requiring excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to be responsive and sensitive to both external and internal customers and staff;
Willingness for occasional travel to Brussels, Mons or BLA.
