Section Head, Strategic Planning & Operations with security clearance

As the Section Head for Strategic Planning & Operations, you will serve as a key integrator and strategic enabler within the organization. Your primary mandate is to bridge high-level strategy with effective operational execution. You will be responsible for leading the development and governance of the enterprise strategic planning process, orchestrating cross-functional resources, and facilitating collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and unified progress toward NATO's objectives. This role is central to translating strategic direction into a coherent operating model, managing associated risks, and optimizing organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Integration: Lead the development, implementation, and governance of the enterprise strategic planning process. Establish policies and frameworks to embed strategic management into daily operations.
- Operational Orchestration & Facilitation: Plan and manage the acquisition and deployment of resources to meet strategic demands. Facilitate cross-functional workgroups and stakeholder collaboration to align efforts and drive unified outcomes.
- Expert Advisory & Governance: Provide authoritative advice on strategic execution, business management, and financial risk. Develop and improve methodologies for risk assessment, resource management, and organizational performance.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A Master's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience. Or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years post related experience.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in managing products
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in managing projects or services
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in line management of product, project or service managers
- Experience in customer engagement within large, complex organisations
- Training/Certifications:
- Product manager/product owner certification
- Training of agile ways of working like Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, LeSS, and DaD
- Experience in sourcing and vendor management
