We are seeking an experienced and proactive Kafka Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and integration tasks on the Kafka platform. You will be a part of an agile team responsible for maintaining a strategic integration platform to ensure that the platform is continuously being expanded with new capabilities to support business needs. We expect you to have a solid toolbox with some good results with Kafka application development.
Your primary tasks will be designing, implementing, and maintaining our client's Kafka platform. You will develop tools and procedures for monitoring, logging, and improve deployment. As a natural part of your work, you will need to prepare documentation for the use of Kafka, while supporting the rest of the organization in using the platform. Our client uses DDD (Domain Driven Design) for modeling, which is why you will also work closely with other development teams to implement this method in their work.
You will work with a modern toolset, including technologies, methods and principles, such as:
• Apache Kafka, supported by Confluent
• Java / Spring Boot
• OpenShift / Kubernetes / Helm
• CI / CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery)
• Best practices in software development, test-driven development, design patterns, etc.
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes/OpenShift, Java, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Argo CD.
- Experience in running and maintaining a Kafka platform or working with event streaming applications is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and practices.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines related to ongoing deliveries and operations
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
