You will join our client's Securities Trading team. The area team oversees developing products and concepts around Trading and Settlement of Securities within the Wealth Management and Trading Domain, part of the Engineering Platforms division. Tasks related to Sustainable Finance – Customer preference and Target Market, Post Trade harmonization, and Decoupling of Mainframe are a few examples of the upcoming focus areas for the team. The Senior Mainframe Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on impactful financial systems in a collaborative team of three Business Analysts and five Software Developers.

- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and complex IT solutions that fulfill customer requirements.
- Design the architecture of solutions and drive development.
- Engage directly with customers to develop a better understanding of their needs.
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and facilitate training sessions.
- Apply Agile methodologies such as Scrum for iterative development.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and other teams across the organization.
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- Min. 5 years of relevant experience in Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, SQL, IDz/RDz, Erwin and a positive approach towards Unit testing.
- English at a high level both in writing and speaking
- A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
- Relevant education in computer science or related field
- Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Git/BitBucket, JIRA, API, Java, Kafka.
- Experience of working in the financial sector
- Proven project management skills running IT projects.
- Problem management skills
