Senior Software Asset Manager (SAM)
Are you ready to take on a challenging role in a global enterprise and contribute to the security of cutting-edge applications?
Project Overview:
We are seeking expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM) with a minimum of 8 years of experience. The ideal expertise should be proactive, analytical, autonomous, and possess a strong critical mindset. The focus is on optimizing IT assets' value and cost while mitigating risks throughout their lifecycle. This includes IT asset selection, operation, refresh, migration, optimization, and disposal.
We require expertise in implementing SAM tools within complex organizations, understanding underlying processes, and communicating effectively with stakeholders, including the DPO and fellow SAM team members. The role involves license compliance, license usage analysis, and optimization of both legacy and new tools. Experience with SAM/ITSM tools such as Flexera ONE, SAM Pro, FNMS, FNMEA, USU, and Service ONE is essential, along with engineering software like MathWorks, PTC, Dassault, Ansys, and Autodesk.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure license compliance and lead in-depth license usage analysis.
- Optimize software usage — across both legacy and new tools — to reduce cost and mitigate risks.
- Implement and configure Software Asset Management tools in large enterprise environments.
- Define and establish robust SAM processes and governance from scratch.
- Work collaboratively with other Software Asset Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Support audit activities and produce accurate and timely reporting.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify usage patterns, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
- Engage and communicate with internal stakeholders, including DPOs, procurement, IT, and finance.
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management with a strong background in license compliance, data analysis, and optimization.
- Deep expertise in SAM and ITSM tools such as Flexera ONE, FNMS, FNMEA, SAM Pro, USU, and Service ONE.
- Experience working with engineering software applications, such as MathWorks, PTC, Dassault, Ansys, Autodesk.
- Demonstrated ability to implement SAM tools and processes in large, international organizations.
- Proven experience working in audit preparation, data validation, and report generation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — including cross-functional collaboration.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- A proactive, independent approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
