Our client is currently developing an anti-fraud platform to enhance security in trading and payment operations for top Forex companies. This comprehensive solution is being built from the ground up and will feature a rule management engine, integration with various data providers, clone detection tools, and risk-scoring models. Additionally, there are plans to develop a unified back-office system for rule configuration, transaction monitoring, and risk mitigation management.

The Team Leader of the Risk Analysis Team will oversee all aspects of fraud prevention and risk mitigation in the FX and CFD brokerage domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in both Trading (Dealing) and Payments, with a deep understanding of rule creation and preventive measures to counteract fraud. This role requiring active participation in daily tasks while managing teams of risk analysts, anti-fraud specialists, and verification officers. The position demands a proactive and analytical leader capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance anti-fraud strategies and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage teams of Risk Analysts, Anti-Fraud Specialists, Verification Officers, and others.
• Set clear goals for team members and ensure high performance.
• Conduct regular quality assurance and quality control of team outputs.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
• Ensure clear distribution of tasks, maintain a transparent backlog, and track progress through measurable KPIs
• Monitor daily fraud reports by region and fraud type; prepare and discuss mitigation proposals with the Head of Risk
• Lead the design and review of fraud prevention strategies: adjusting, tightening, or relaxing rules as needed
• Implement robust strategies to identify and neutralize toxic trading behaviors.
• Address payment fraud scenarios such as chargebacks and fraudulent transactions.
• Communicate effectively with external anti-fraud vendors and payment providers to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Create and implement new processes such as loss calculation to enhance risk analysis capabilities.
• Help the Product team backtest created rules to ensure effectiveness.
• Work closely with the Data Science domain to provide requirements for future ML models.
• Analyze and report on fraud trends, risk patterns, and mitigation effectiveness.
• Leverage vendor tools to strengthen trading and payment fraud defenses.
• Prepare comprehensive educational materials and document all procedures in Confluence.

• Extensive experience in the FX/CFD brokerage industry or with external anti-fraud vendors specializing in this domain
• Expertise in both Trading (Dealing) and Payments fraud prevention.
• Deep understanding of KPI-driven performance management, especially fraud loss reduction targets
• Experience building and standardizing team processes and workflows across regions
• Ability to independently structure team priorities in line with business strategy
• Comprehensive understanding of toxic trading behaviors and payment fraud types.
• Strong track record of managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to set goals and ensure accountability across all team members.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Expertise in conducting GAP analysis and implementing solutions.
• Data-driven decision-making capabilities to adapt and refine strategies.
• Familiarity with anti-fraud platforms such as Sift, Seon, Lexis Nexis or equivalent.
• Comfortable working closely with C-level and product teams on strategic initiatives
• Willingness to work in an office in Cyprus
