We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated API Platform Engineer to join our client's team. Your work will directly impact the scalability and operational stability of the IT solutions, and you'll play a critical role in shaping the tools and procedures that improve deployment, monitoring, and logging. You will be part of an agile team responsible for maintaining a strategic integration platform to ensure that the platform is continuously expanded with new capabilities to support business needs. If you are passionate about building scalable platforms and improving operational efficiencies, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Your primary tasks will be designing, implementing, and maintaining our API platform. You will develop tools and procedures for monitoring, logging, and improve deployment. As a natural part of your work, you will need to prepare documentation for the use of API’s, while supporting the rest of the organization in using the platform.

You will work with a modern toolset, including technologies, methods and principles, such as:

• IBM API Management Platform
• Linux shell scripting/Python scripting
• OpenShift/Kubernetes/Helm
• Certificate management (client, server and keypairs)
• CI/CD
• Best practices in software development, test-driven development, design patterns, etc.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the API platform to ensure it meets the organization's requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and integrate tools and procedures for monitoring, logging, and enhancing deployment processes.
• Provide comprehensive documentation for the API platform and guide internal teams in effectively using the platform for their services.
• Ensure the scalability and operational stability of IT solutions across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve API performance and user experience.
• Monitor platform performance, resolve issues, and proactively make improvements to optimize operations.
• Support API Lifecycle Management, including versioning, governance, and integration into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong experience with IBM API Management Platform and its various components.
• Proficiency in Linux and Python scripting for automating tasks and improving deployment processes.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Helm to manage containerized applications and services.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD practices and experience with tools for automation and continuous integration.
• Background in IT/software engineering, with a deep understanding of platform design and development.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong analytical and structured approach to problem-solving and work processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
