We are seeking an experienced and proactive Kafka Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Kafka platform, ensuring its scalability, operational stability, and seamless integration with other development teams. You will also play a key role in improving deployment procedures, monitoring systems, and supporting the organization in utilizing the Kafka platform effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Platform Design & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain the Kafka platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Develop tools and procedures for monitoring, logging, and optimizing the Kafka environment to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaboration & DDD: Collaborate with development teams to implement Domain-Driven Design (DDD) within the Kafka ecosystem.
- Documentation & Support: Prepare clear documentation for Kafka-related processes and provide support for the organization in utilizing the platform effectively.
- Operational Stability: Ensure the Kafka platform is stable, reliable, and optimized for operational performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvements in deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and streamlined delivery.
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including running and maintaining Kafka clusters.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Helm for containerized environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools to support efficient deployments.
- Software Engineering Background: Solid background in IT and software engineering, with a strong understanding of best practices for system design and architecture.
- Kafka Platform Experience: Prior experience in managing and scaling Kafka platforms or event streaming applications.
- Proven experience working within Agile development teams and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and streamline complex systems.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
